WEEDS APPAREL is an independently owned company with one goal: delivering cool, often goofy, shirt designs on premium quality garments at affordable prices (or is that 3 goals?). Our designers come from one of the top art schools in the country where they have earned degrees in everything from illustration, fine art, graphic design & typography.

We at WEEDS APPAREL hold the artists’ talents in high regard and that is why every morning after they punch in, we put them in a dark, dank room with computer monitors flickering, uncomfortable chairs with no music, just to go crazy and create the strange art we love.

You may wonder why we chose the name “WEEDS”. Well, it has nothing to do with the “obvious” such as crabgrass, dandelions, or chickweed (which by the way has a place in folk medicine as a remedy for asthma, constipation, cough, fever and various other ailments). Or that the garments are made out of the same stuff as what those hippie folk smoked back in the day. Nope, the name was chosen through a long, creative process that lasted the whole time we looked through a thesaurus until we found something we liked. Hard to believe I know, but that’s the truth!

Our t-shirt designs are printed on American Apparel, 100% pre-shrunk cotton garments. There is also the option of upgrading certain designs to be printed on hemp (55% hemp, 45% organic cotton) or bamboo (70% viscose from organic bamboo, 30% organic cotton) t-shirts. If you’re confused, that’s okay, just roll with it. But to make you happy, more info about the garments are included somewhere in the website.
